2010 Kit

For 2010, we will be expanding the offerings a bit, in order to better meet the demands of an increasingly diverse group of riders. On the one hand, we're making the leap into synthetic fabrics -- with skinsuits, short sleeve jerseys. Everything last and present, wool and synthetic, is easily compatible and should mix and match rather well. The synthetic kits are designed to be paired with black bottoms, so Ibex knickers could still be paired with a lycra top, for example.

We are doing custom silk ascots.

I think the Ibex bottoms are the bee's knees, but there are still some hold outs amongst us who hold dear to their Assos, Castelli, etc. Besides an aversion to synthetics, one of the reasons for not going with a conventional custom kit from the likes of Hincapie, Verge, or Capoforma is simply that even the best "custom" bottoms pale in comparison to regular shorts and bibs from a vendor like CRAFT. The Elite and Pro line of CRAFT bottoms will be available with subtle TATI embroidery.

Giro's Atmos and Prolight helmets will be available in black with TATI decal kits in orange. Lake will provide road and cross kicks with Boa lacing, and BONT's heat moldable A1 shoes are available in an orange colorway. For a retro look, black crochet gloves or Giro's Lusso all-leather mitts... or Giro Zeros for a featherweight unpadded racing glove.

Also new this year is Endura, a Scottish maker mainly known for their rainwear, gloves, and high end MTB apparel. The Laser II rain shell in orange will be available with custom Hulot/TATI embroidery this winter. Later in the year, Ibex will be releasing a new "burnt sienna" color across the entire line. This is a very dark orange that will effectively accent the core pieces. Featherweight base layers and most excitingly, the beautiful Tuck soft shell jacket, will arrive embroidered in late summer.

Some of these designs are still being finalized, but for the most part this slideshow is indicative of what you can expect out of the Tatitos in 2010.
